Jodie Richards, the founder of JR Animal Physiotherapy & Referrals, is a level 6 qualified veterinary physiotherapist. She completed her BSc (Hons) degree with a first-class honors in 2021 from The Royal Agricultural University. Jodie comes from an equine and canine background as she grew up on a family-run livery yard and boarding kennels. This has given her extensive experience with both horses and small animals in a personal, professional and competitive setting, prior to becoming a veterinary physiotherapist.

Jodie has worked alongside local vets to deliver physiotherapy treatment with compassion to many horses and dogs with a range of post-operative, conservative, and maintenance needs. She has expert knowledge in designing rehabilitation programmes tailored to animals’ individual goals and provides high-quality manual therapy techniques. Ensuring animals achieve optimum health, welfare, and performance is Jodie’s priority.
